Wonderful and unusually tall
Japanese antique
doll of a beauty ( probably maiko) dressed
with lovely greenish-blue kinsha silk kimono
beautifully designed with floral motif and silk brocaded
obi belt tied on the doll back. Her first under kimonos
is made from scarlet kinsha silk and
other silk under kimono made with tie-dyed technique.
Doll's hair-dress is beautifully adorned with floral tiata
and red silk ribbon.
Doll stands on wooden carved black lacquered stand
and withhold traditional Japanese stand floor lamp (lanterne).
Her face is tender and genteel
This antique traditional Japanese doll is very lovely
and high collectible piece of Japanese Fine Art.
